1. Scope and responsibility
This Privacy Policy applies to zscm.ae and to business enquiries initiated through its email, telephone and WhatsApp links. Website and privacy enquiries are coordinated through info@zscm.ae. If an enquiry is routed to a company listed in the Legal Notice, that company may act as an independent controller for its assessment, compliance, quotation or contractual activity.
2. Information we may process
We may process identification and contact information; company and job information; enquiry correspondence; cargo, route, product and specification information; documents voluntarily supplied by you; and technical information such as IP address, device, browser, requested pages, timestamps, referral information and security logs.
3. Sources of information
Information may be obtained directly from you, from people acting for your organisation, from counterparties involved in an enquiry, and where appropriate from carriers, suppliers, service providers, professional advisers, sanctions or compliance sources and public corporate registers.
4. Purposes and lawful grounds
Information is processed to operate and secure the website; respond to enquiries; assess logistics or trading feasibility; prepare quotations; coordinate suppliers and service providers; perform customer, supplier, sanctions, fraud and compliance checks; maintain commercial and legal records; establish or defend legal claims; and comply with applicable law. Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing may be based on steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, legal obligations, legitimate business interests or consent.
5. Enquiry builder and communications
After server-side reCAPTCHA verification, the form transmits logistics enquiries to logis@zscm.ae and product or trading enquiries to info@zscm.ae through an encrypted connection. Email and WhatsApp alternatives open third-party applications governed by their own privacy terms. Do not submit payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive information.
6. Recipients
Information may be shared only where reasonably necessary with the relevant listed company; carriers; freight agents; warehouses; terminals; suppliers; buyers; inspection and laboratory providers; insurers and brokers; banks and payment providers; customs and government authorities; professional advisers; IT, hosting and security providers; and parties involved in a corporate transaction or legal claim. Personal information is not sold.
7. International transfers
Logistics and trade activities are international. Information may therefore be processed in countries different from the country in which it was collected. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the responsible company will use an available lawful transfer mechanism and proportionate contractual, organisational or technical safeguards.
8. Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant enquiry, business relationship, transaction, statutory recordkeeping, compliance review, dispute or legal claim, security purpose and applicable limitation period. Retention is reviewed using those criteria rather than one period for every category.
9. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Individual rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to obtain information about processing; request access, correction or deletion; restrict or object to processing; receive portable data; withdraw consent; and complain to a competent authority. Rights may be limited where information must be retained for legal, contractual, compliance, security or claims purposes.
11. Marketing choices
Marketing communications are sent only where legally permitted. You may opt out using the method provided in the communication or by contacting us. Service and transaction communications may still be sent where required.
12. Children and sensitive information
This is a business-to-business website and is not directed to children. Do not send health information, identity documents or other sensitive personal information unless specifically requested through an appropriate secure channel for a lawful business requirement.
13. External services
Email, telephone, WhatsApp and other linked services have their own privacy practices. Their providers process information independently when you use those services.
If you choose to load the embedded Google Map, your browser connects directly to Google. Google may receive technical information including your IP address, browser or device information, referring domain and map interactions, and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy terms. The map is not loaded until you activate it.
14. reCAPTCHA and form security
The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to distinguish genuine enquiries from automated abuse. Google may receive technical data such as IP address, browser and interaction signals under its own privacy terms. The reCAPTCHA token is verified on the server and is not used by ZSCM for advertising.
15. Updates and contact
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in processing or law. The current version is identified by its effective date. Privacy requests may be sent to info@zscm.ae. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity and protect personal data.
